PASSION WITH A PURPOSE
We work with people who have a whole range of serious, life-altering physical injuries, as well as those suffering debilitating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression.
The difference that Brazilian jiu-jitsu can make is nothing short of incredible. Physically BJJ is brilliant because you can adapt it to your abilities, and you get a workout that puts every part of your body on red alert. And the accompanying psychological benefits are something everyone notices as soon as they start training.
Whether you are diagnosed with PTSD, or simply suffering from a low mood or lack of purpose, when you spend a tough hour on the mats, the volume on all your problems gets turned right down.

STRENGTH IN FRIENDSHIP
As well as strengthening your own mind and body, BJJ is great for creating a sense of camaraderie. You train together and push each other, putting your health in the hands of your comrades, just like you do with your colleagues in the military.
This builds amazingly strong bonds. The jiu-jitsu journey is a long one, but it is rewarding every step of the way. With REORG, wherever the next chapter of your life takes you, you will not be going alone.
BJJ was mastered as a fighting art in Brazil by the legendary Gracie family and has since spread throughout the globe due to its effectiveness in combat sports. Its rise was exponential with the creation of the UFC.
BJJ is never easy – if you’ve never grappled before, jiu-jitsu is a baptism of fire. At can at first be frustrating, particularly for people who consider themselves fully combat-trained, to start a discipline where they get humbled in every training session by people half their size.
PROGRESSION IN BJJ:
The level of difficulty is not something to shy away from, it is part of what makes BJJ so rewarding.
For people used to facing hardship with their brothers and sisters in arms, taking the battle to the jiu-jitsu mats gives them the tough goals that they relished in the military. But it is also a great leveller, because whether you are a soldier, an athlete, or an accountant, everyone starts of as a white belt on a lifetime journey that is very tough, but incredibly rewarding.
