This policy explains how Mark Ormrod Limited (“we”, “us”), a company based in Plymouth, United Kingdom, collects and uses personal data when you use markormrod.com. We are the data controller for the data described here. Questions or requests: info@markormrod.com.
What we collect, and why
We only collect personal data you choose to give us. There is no advertising tracking and no analytics profiling on this site.
- Speaking inquiries (the form on /book): your name, email address, phone number and the event details you provide. We use this to respond to your booking enquiry. Enquiries are handled with Mark’s bookings agent (Good Vibes Only Talent).
- Newsletter (the form on /newsletter): your first name and email address, used to send you the newsletter you signed up for. Every email includes an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing stops the emails.
- The Resilience Scorecard (/scorecard): your name, email address and your answers/score, used to send you your results and related follow-up.
- Shop purchases (/shop): checkout happens on a third-party payment page. Payment details go to the payment provider, not to this website. We receive what is needed to fulfil your order (name, contact and delivery details).
Lawful bases
- Consent — the newsletter and scorecard follow-up. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us.
- Steps prior to a contract / legitimate interests — responding to speaking inquiries and running the website securely.
- Contract — fulfilling shop orders.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of service providers to run the site:
- HighLevel (LeadConnector) — our CRM and form provider. Form submissions and newsletter sign-ups are stored there. HighLevel is a US company; transfers are safeguarded by its data processing terms including standard contractual clauses.
- Vercel — website hosting. Standard server logs (IP address, request time) are processed to serve and secure the site.
- Google reCAPTCHA — runs inside our embedded forms to block spam. Google processes limited device and interaction data for that purpose; see Google’s privacy policy.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiry and scorecard data is kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted. Order records are kept as long as UK tax and accounting rules require.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; ask us to restrict or object to processing; and ask for a copy in a portable format. Email info@markormrod.com and we’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
